Funding Proposals Due May 12, 2023 - CLEAR Research Experience and Training

We are pleased to announce the CLEAR RETCC 2023 Request for Pilot Project Proposals!  The Wayne State CLEAR Research Experience and Training Coordination Core seeks applications for interdisciplinary research projects that address environmental health problems of concern to CLEAR and the national Superfund Research Program. The theme for this year’s seed program is "Connecting CLEAR", and applications are requested for projects that allow for collaborations between 2 or more CLEAR projects and Cores.  In addition to providing seed funding for research needs, these pilot programs will allow trainee career development in grantsmanship and budget development.  These projects are expected to be relatable to CLEAR goals, but not overlap directly with current CLEAR aims.   The RETCC plans to fund up to three pilot projects, with each project funded for ~1 year at a total amount of up to $10,000 in direct costs.

Any trainee working within a CLEAR Project or Core leader's laboratory is eligible to apply for pilot project funding.  If you are interested in applying for one of these awards, please send a letter of intent to RETCC leaders Drs. Kashian and Petriello by May 12.  LOI should include trainee name, degree type and year, PI and CLEAR projects/Cores involved, Pilot project name, and draft budget.  Details for the full pilot grants will be sent to those that complete the LOIs.  Thanks, and good luck.
